The British & Irish Orthoptic society is the professional body for practising Orthoptists. Their website gives patients further information about conventional amblyopia treatment.

formerly a Specialist Library of the National Library for Health Provided by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) , NHS Evidence is a one stop resource which gives access to the best currently available evidence on eye health. The 2010 Amblyopia Annual Evidence Update is also available to download from this site.

The Wellcome Trust is a global, charitable organisation. A Technology Transfer Award funded the last research trials, and some of the money is being spent on the current trial, along with monay from NIHR.

Virtual Reality Applications Research Team (VIRART)

The Virtual Reality Applications Research Team is a division of the Human Factors Research Group, based at the University of Nottingham. The group has an established reputation in the specification and evaluation of virtual reality technologies for health applications and has been involved in the I-BiT project since the early stages.
